David the Gnome 1985

The World of David the Gnome, originally titled David el Gnomo, is a Spanish animated television series based on the children's book The Secret Book of Gnomes, by the Dutch author Wil Huygen and illustrator Rien Poortvliet. The program was originally created in Spain by BRB Internacional titled David el Gnomo, and retains a sense of the lush illustrations of the original books. Twenty-six episodes were produced. There was also a spin-off series entitled Wisdom of the Gnomes. The English language dub The World of David the Gnome was produced by Canadian studio Cinar, in association with Miramax Films. Christopher Plummer narrated, with the voice of David the Gnome being provided by Tom Bosley. David the Gnome came to US television in 1987, airing weekdays on the Nickelodeon cable channel, and was part of the fledgling Nick Jr. lineup when that was created shortly thereafter until 1995. It also aired on TLC on its Ready Set Learn block from September 30, 1996 until March 27, 1998. The series is still frequently airing weekday mornings on Irish channel RTÉ Two as of 2006. In Australia, it has aired on ABC, as well as the Australian branch of Nickelodeon, again as part of the Nick Jr. lineup.

Naked City 1958

Naked City is a police drama series which aired from 1958 to 1963 on the ABC television network. It was inspired by the 1948 motion picture of the same name, and mimics its dramatic “semi-documentary” format. In 1997, the episode “Sweet Prince of Delancey Street” was ranked #93 on TV Guide’s “100 Greatest Episodes of All Time”.

Kabouter Wesley (English: Gnome Wesley) is a series of comics and short animated cartoons about a grumpy and violent kabouter (gnome), made by Jonas Geirnaert. Both the drawing style and the content are purposely made naive and amateuristic and the situations are surreal and violent. There is also a lot of insulting and toilet humour in the series.

Wisdom of the Gnomes 1987

Wisdom of the Gnomes is an animated series produced by Spanish company BRB Internacional about Gnomes. It was a spin-off of the series The World of David the Gnome. It was based on the books The Secret Book of Gnomes by Wil Huygen. Other sequels, both in serial and movie form, were The Great Adventure of the Gnomes, The Gnomes in the Snow and The Fantastic Adventures of the Gnomes.

Gnomes is an American 1980 animated film, based on the book of the same name by the Dutch Wil Huygen and Rien Poortvliet. The movie was nominated for an Emmy in 1981 for Outstanding Animated Program. Several years after this film was released, the television series, The World of David the Gnome was created, which was also based on the same novel.

The Gnoufs

The Gnoufs, an animated cartoon created by Bertrand Santini, is shown on many TV stations such as Foxtel and the ABC. The program is about explorers from another world who have come to Earth to live. The show is computer-animated, and many episodes pivot on supernatural themes such as divinatory tarot, apparitions and the afterlife. Each episode has a moral message. There a total of seven Gnoufs. Starting with Groo Gnouf, as their unofficial leader. The rest are Rab Gnouf, Giga Bab, Hippel Gnouf, Mini Bab, Kreepy Gnouf and Scopi Gnouf. Corperlisation This is when any Gnoufs want to take control of anything, they will 'coperlise' it and have full control of it.

Gnostics 1987

Gnostics was a 1987 4-part drama-documentary series made by Border TV for Channel 4. It was re-broadcast in 1990. The writer of the series, Tobias Churton, also released an accompanying book. The body of the programmes was compiled of documentary material on Gnostic movements and the Cathars. Among those interviewed were academics and writers Hans Jonas, Gilles Quispel, Elaine Pagels and James Robinson, as well as Muhammad Ali al-Samman who unearthed the texts at Nag Hammadi. Within the frame of documentary dramatized sections were acted by Nigel Harrison with other actors including Brian Blessed, Marius Goring, Ian Brooker, and James Tillett.

Ocean Odyssey

Ocean Odyssey is a two-part, two-hour television programme produced for the BBC by the production company Impossible Pictures. It follows the life of a bull Sperm whale from his first deep dive until his death, stranded on a beach. Unlike most Impossible Pictures productions, it uses CGI to recreate currently living rather than extinct creatures. Also, most of the backgrounds are CG as well.

Le petit gnome was a German educational television series produced by SWR Fernsehen, teaching French as a foreign or second language to young German viewers aged 6 to 12 years.

Kabouter Plop 1997

Kabouter Plop is the eponymous protagonist in a children's television series by Studio 100. The television series is directed by Bart Van Leemputten. Most episodes last about five minutes and are set in Plop's milk inn or in Kabouter forest. The stories often involve pranks by naughty Kabouter Klus. Each episode starts with Plop lying in bed and reviewing what happened the past day. At the end of the episode he says he goes to "Kabouter dream land". Most episodes contain a moral.

The Gnomes of Dulwich 1969

The Gnomes of Dulwich was a United Kingdom television sitcom originally shown in six episodes from 12 May 1969 to 16 June 1969. Written by Jimmy Perry, the show starred Terry Scott, Hugh Lloyd, John Clive, Leon Thau, Anne de Vigier and Lynn Dalby as garden gnomes living at 25 Telegraph Road, Dulwich, London, England. The title is a reference to the term "Gnomes of Zürich". The tapes were wiped in the 1970s and no material seems to have survived.

Gordon the Garden Gnome

Gordon the Garden Gnome is a British animated children's television series aimed at getting children interested in gardening. The series premiered on CBeebies in 2005. Gordon is a cartoon garden gnome, whose voice is provided by Alan Titchmarsh. The series also aired in the United States on Cartoon Network's Tickle-U television programming block.
